What are you doing at the moment?
Currently I am an apprentice studying a Level 3 qualification. My Job title is HR/OD Business admin apprenticeship and PA to the Head of HR/OD at the West Midlands Combined Authority. My dream job is to be Prime Minister because I like helping people and I want to make an impact for future generations.
In my spare time I am an ambassador at the YAAN (Young Apprentice Ambassador Network).
How did you find your mentoring experience?
My mentoring experience has been magical. When I started mentoring four years ago I expected my mentor to help me with the basics, but she has helped me with so much more, including career progression and helping me to better visualise my future.
Mentoring is like being with a friend. I could ask my mentor questions which I would not have asked my career advisor at college because she understands me more personally.
Why are you excited to be a 1MM ambassador?
I am excited about this role as I am passionate about mentoring in general and the benefits this unlocks for both mentee and mentor.
Tell us one interesting fact about yourself.
I have had a personal meeting with the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Apprenticeships and Skills Gillian Keegan about my apprenticeship/mentoring journey.
