About One Million Mentors:
One Million Mentors is a project within UpRising. In the West Midlands we work in partnership with the Mayor’s Mentors programme launched by Andy Street, Mayor of the West Midlands.
1MM’s mission is to transform the process of mentoring for all in the UK. We aim to train, recruit and connect a million mentors to a million young people in order to increase youth employability, support social action and help break down social barriers.
We recognise the value of high quality mentoring for young people and are determined to widen the scope of mentoring, increase the provision of mentoring to areas across the UK and strengthen the mentoring network by connecting existing organisations through our shared online platform.
As Project Coordinator you will oversee and manage the registration and matching of volunteer mentors with 1hr / month voluntary mentoring opportunities listed on our online platform by partner organisations in the West Midlands. This will involve directly supporting volunteer mentors and partner organisations to successfully use our online platform, and using the information gathered on our online system to report back on progress.
