Sara was previously the Programme Manager at PeaceJam UK, where she developed an extensive network in the education sector and expanded the programme across five regions. As part of a three-year ErasmusPlus project, Sara supported 150 teachers, youth workers and other multipliers implement PeaceJam’s curriculum, and managed the organisation of the first online Pan-European youth conference with Nobel Peace Prize winner Jody Williams. To ensure the organisation continued to support the needs of children and young people in an appropriate, accessible and inclusive way, Sara established PeaceJam UK’s first Youth Leadership Team and Schools Advisory Group.
After completing her BA in International Relations & Security Studies at the University of Bradford, where Sara first got involved in PeaceJam as a near-peer mentor, she worked for a community college as their Marketing and Communications Officer. Sara went on to study an LLM in International Human Rights Law and Practice at the University of York.
